PRE-SEASON 2010/11
« on: July 21, 2010, 06:14:13 PM »
After saturdays game being called off tonight is Woys first game. He's got a young side to pick from but i'm really looking forward to seeing a few of the youngsters and Aqua getting a game. I dont expect us to win but it will be good to see how Eccleston, Ayala, Kelly and even Dalle Valle, get on.

Its live online which is a waste of time coz the pic is normally crap or the whole game is on at 9pm on the lfc tv channel.

0-0

But alot of positives with regards to the youngsters. Grasshopper have already started their league campaign but our lads didnt look out of place at all. I thought Ayala looked solid as a rock and Amoo surprised me with his performance. I hope the signing of Wilson doesnt mean Ayala leaves. Eccleston was lively and Spearing and Darby put in a good shift as always.

I think Woy might be able to get the best out of these youngsters.

Hopefully more of the youngsters can get a bit of Premier League game time this year. Pacheco should get 20 first team games be they from the bench in the league or playing in the cups.

With Deggen being allowed to leave Kelly should get 20 games aswell hopefully albeit mainly from the bench. After one game i dont want to jump the gun, but with Woy at the helm i think some of the english youngsters last night Amoo and Eccleston might get a few games aswell

Team Vs Kaiserslautern:

Liverpool: Cavalieri, Kelly, Ayala, Kyrgiakos, Darby, Jovanovic, Spearing, Lucas, Amoo, Ngog, Eccleston. Subs: Gulacsi, Degen, Irwin, Palsson, Robinson, Shelvey, Ince, Dalla Valle, Hansen.

No Aquilani. So is he being saved for Thursday or is there a problem?
Don't make the same mistake twice, there's plenty of new ones to choose from.

I think Aquaman got a slight knock in the previous 0-0 friendly and had to go back to Melwood for treatment  :o

He seems to get more 'knocks' than your average front door. Let's hope he's fit for Thursday. It's just the sort of game for him to build his confidence ahead of the new season.

I would like to give Aqua another season. If this guy Brunker is as good as he is meant to be I would like to see if he can sort Aqua out.

Hope he is better than Peter Brukner and stays around long enough to prove it.  ;D (Bloody Aussies and their silly names).

Aqua has many bridges to cross this season.
In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was, in me, an invincible summer.

There’s no next time. It’s now or never.

And the waters appear to be getting more troubled.
