Kenneth, in the post-match interview, reveals latest excuses.
"I think we looked a wee bit tired," he said. "We had a lot of possession in the game but we gave away the ball quite a lot in vital positions. It's not because they can't play, it's because of tiredness.
"If you play Sunday-Wednesday-Saturday it's going to take its toll. A lot of the lads had played all three games, and for us that's a reason behind our performance.
"It's because of the demand on them with games, and we've not had enough players at our disposal to give them adequate rest. It's a problem we face and it's dictated to the clubs and the players by the television schedule. The fact we've done well in two cup competitions has obviously given us lots of extra fixtures."
so now the excuses include too many fixtures and a demanding TV schedule.
but I thought with no involvement in Europe this season, we were going to have far fresher players...and push on.
the excuses now are just laughable.
I can't believe we can lose to the bottom club in the PL, win only twice in 10 league games, be out fought from 2-0 up against last years championship team. I too cannot see any future with Kenny leading our team. There are too many pointers to show that he is tactically inept.
I can't believe it, I can't believe that I would say it, I think the only way forward is for a new manager at the end of the season. Liverpool are better than endless excuses from the man leading the club.
I have tried to defend our Manager but he has now proven to be no better than I myself would be managing the team. I think as a caretaker he was the perfect choice and I had hoped he could fire up the team for future success. Sadly he can't and we are starting all over again.
I hope John Henry and Co. can see this and appoint a new man over the summer.
