what is with you and endlessly repeating this lie?

I am most certainly not "continuously derogatory about the club".    Indeed, I was the one (probably one of the very few in here) who identified the 3-0 loss to Utd in December as a turning point in our season.

I've read every post of yours from the 15th Dec (Utd defeat) to 2 Jan and every one either slags off the team, the manager, the owners or Ian Ayre. Oh, and your continuing nagging about bringing Rafa back. Can't find anything about the team turning a corner as we did. In the next 10 PL games we won 7 and drew 3.

I offer a balanced assessment.   Unlike you, I do not crave to see a top manager like Rafa Benitez sacked.
No you don't. You belittle Gerrard, Rogers, Ayre and the owners. Rafa was sacked 5 years ago. Get over it.

Unliike you - forver on your soapbox, preaching sermons, about what makes a superfan - to anyone who cares to listen.

Martin, Bart, Tes, Ed and others, repeat the same issues that I repeat.  But of course, you do not aim your venom at them...oh no, when you snipe in from the sidelines, it is always aimed at me.

They don't post stupid photos belittling the manager. That's what juveniles do. I'd expect more sensible posts from an adult.

Get out of your pulpit, and instead begin to appreciate the purpose of a forum.

Unlike you I've never been barred from a forum. And if this one was moderated quite a few of your posts would get you in trouble.

Oh, regarding the Chelsea game. Many years ago when LFC won the title with about 5 games left they lost around 3 of them. Players switch off once the winning line has been crossed. Don't rule out a shock away win.

Firstly, I wasn't pointing my finger at you for being continuously derogatory about the club so sorry if I came across that way.

In that link all Rogers said was he's "very talented". Hardly a ringing endorsement for a player. What was he meant to say? No comment would have appeared odd. The rest of the article was press speculation.

Yes, we did play crap football against those clubs you listed but we also played exceptional football against Man City less than 3 days after Ludogorets away when we were expected to be hammered. How many people congratulated the team (and manager) for that? Not very many. We also kept clean sheets for several away games beating a record that had stood for 30+ years. When you have lost both your main strikers it was a very good second-half of the season until the Utd game.

I see no reason to post unless I have something to say. Unlike dude who goes on about Rafa in every 2nd post. I also see no point in worrying about things over which I have no control. And none of us can control what happens. Happy to debate but not when it's nearly always negative. We're 5th, not 15th. City nicked our top 4 place. That's not the club's fault. That's having a rich owner who is prepared to spend stupid money. They now have an ageing squad and are limited by FFP.

I swear at the screen many times watching some games. I'm no lemming or sheep. I've already said I want Rogers replacing but if it doesn't happen I'll still support him. What is achieved by continually slagging him off? You just raise your blood pressure. Not worth it. Just go with the flow until we have something substantial to discuss.

get off your soapbox and dry your eyes.

your sermons are impossible to listen to - especially since you always tend to be wrong about everything connected to football.

you were happy to get rid of Rafa.  How has that worked out for ya?

Read and ignored. Just like all the other tripe you post.

And another thing about the Depay transfer. When the F*** will Rodgers keep his hole shut and tip off every other club in christendom??? FFS he's been doing this for years now...the geezer who joined Borussia, Willian and Salah to Chelsea, etc etc...

Where's your proof that Rogers' stated he wanted Depay? Don't you think it more likely the player's agent tipped off various clubs?

Anyway, Di Maria, Blind and Falcao haven't exactly been outstanding successes at Manure. They've relied on existing players to get them where they are. What makes you think someone who only cost £30M will be a success?

There's a 4 point gap to Manure. The way some of you go one you'd think it was 20.

If some of you hate everything about the club go and support someone else. This is a SUPPORTERS forum after all.

BBC Radio 5 Live have just announced that Memphis Depay has signed for Man Utd.

Without possession of all the facts it's impossible to say why he chose them apart from the obvious that he gets the chance to play in 6 CL games - half against Euro-dross. And Utd probably threw stupid money at him. If LFC did that the club would be hammered by most who frequent this board I suspect.

Look, if it really upsets you that much that I call him Brenda in posts I will stop.  It's just tongue n cheek ASI.  But there is a polite way of asking......

Should I really need to ask in a Liverpool FC forum? And how do I know it's tongue in cheek? Thank you for using his real name.

Bart, it's hard to see the difference with some posts. I don't particularly want him to stay but I have enough respect for him not to resort to childish comments such as posted by Gurdeep.

He's doing his best whatever you think of the results. If we win against Hull tomorrow night we'll be just 4 points behind the Mancs and how much did they spend last summer?

Brenda continues to dig himself deeper and deeper into a hole.  3 years on and he's still spouting stuff off in the media. Will he ever learn?
And will YOU ever learn that the manager's name is Brendan? This place is more like a hangout for Manure fans with the abuse. Grow up!

Hail the white flag of surrender.

It's not surrender at all. What a idiotic comment. What would you have the club do? Offer such a stupid salary that he would be mad to turn it down. And in doing that we totally mess up the salary structure for the rest of the team? I do wonder about the intelligence of some people in this forum at times.

What's unlikely, you saying you want him replaced or him actually being replaced?

Thought my statement was perfectly clear. The latter.

Sturridge has had extended periods of injuries since being at the club. This season's is the longest but his injury record has been poor since arriving. Since the end of that season I've been saying we needed cover for him...

He was injured just before we signed him and injured just after. 60 league games missed from November 17 2012 to the present. 60 league games in less than 2.5 years.

He was clear of injuries for most of last season so I dispute your claim that he's had a poor record since signing. Most of those games missed have been this season.

It's also been suggested that his hip injury is not that bad and he could play through the pain. But he seems a delicate flower and won't. Even a Wembley semi-final couldn't persuade him. Replacement strikers will be bought but the problem we have is that Man Utd seem favourite for all those we're interested in. Depay being the latest.

Compared to their football knowledge they are experts when it comes to baseball, having been fans of the game (like we all have of football) all their lives, and it shows in both sports respectively.

Same could be said of FSG then. They're heavily into Boston Red Sox.

Abramovich is to football what our owners are to baseball. The chances of him having been immersed in football to one degree or other (again like we all have) are much higher for him than for our owners, the Glazers and Sheikh Mansour, simply because the availibility of such an opportunity exists far, far more in his country of origin than for the rest of them. Additionally, he's been almost a permanent fixture at matches since he bought the club, again, unlike the rest of them. The rest may have watched their respective clubs' games on TV, but they're not 'around the game' to any degree compared to Abramovich.

Just because someone loves football and watches it a lot doesn't make them an expert. I've been watching it for 40 years but I'm no expert. Neither is Abramovich. He's just rich and can appoint experts with healthy salaries.

Sounds good to me Edward. I understand that Skrtel has said he wants to stay and will discuss contract details after end of season.

My point is we are where we are, right now, because of a string
of poor decisions.
Making correct decisions is not an exact science. Otherwise you could leave it to a computer. It's human nature. Hopefully future decisions will be more successful.

Like it or not, Man Utd. exist (and have done for years) in a different
footballing stratosphere to us. It's tired old thinking that we are remotely
comparable to them in the modern football age.

They're richer and being in Manchester have wealthier supporters than those in Liverpool. They also had the advantage of the area around the ground being bombed in WW2 so could expand cheaply. And they have good marketing men but they won't always be around. Football is cyclic.

But now you're making the point for me. Who decides which players we recruit,
who's on the teamsheet and how they play? Are you suggesting that the players don't
listen to the manager or don't understand what he says to them.
There's a golden rule in football that the manager is responsible for everything
connected to the team. No self-respecting manager works under the kind of
hidden system you're suggesting where the tea lady is making the decisions  :)
That's why the buck stops with the manager.

I never said anything about a tea lady so stop spouting tripe.  You know how the recruitment, team selection and formation works so don't ask the bleeding obvious.

What really irks me is when excuses start to be made for a manager who willing signed up
to a brief and then extended his contract. I sincerely doubt that FSG have altered the brief.

I'm not making up excuses for Brendan. If you look back to Sunday I said I want him replaced. That's unlikely to happen in the summer.

None of this is under our control so I really don't see the need to keep discussing it. Most of it is speculation anyway. I'm done with this until such time as something significant happens at the club.
