Liverpool FC, football, sport / Re: Gillett on the radio tonight.

If he talks about the situation, I think all we'll get is a tissue of half truths, innuendos and ambiguous comments like before.

As regards the sale or non-sale of his shares to DIC/Dubai Holdings he may or may not have agreed in principle to sell and even agreed a price but as I think DIC/Dubai Holdings want 100% then until they can agree a price with Hicks aswell, and he's showing no "apparent" interest in selling, then I can't see anything happening.

He is apparently doing another interview on PrimeTime Sports with Bob McCown.

It's scheduled for 6pm - 7pm (11pm - 12AM BST)

Liverpool FC, football, sport / Re: New away shirt

Why can't we just stick to having white shirts and black shorts as our away colours or at a push, all yellow with red trim and have it the same design as the home kit.

Let's hope our players well be able to see eachother in the grey rather better than that other rabble could.

what if they paid for our new stadium.

That get's them Torres on loan for a season with the stipulation that he can't be used in either the Premier or Champions Leagues.

Also, according to MON, getting the captains armband for the second half of a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago is all of a sudden to be included in the valuation.

That was definately a "classic comedy moment."

Liverpool FC, football, sport / Re: How much is Barry worth?

If Barry is going to cost the same amount as we raise from the sale of Alonso it hardly seems worth doing.

Villa apparently want Finnan for about £2M so maybe we can use their interest to get Barry for a more sensible fee or price Finnan (who, like Barry, has 2 years left on his contract) using the same pricing scale as Villa are using for Barry.

That's a good point on bonds and so on. The next step now for LFC is to get the stadium finance for itself if the club isn't going to be sold. A rumour is going around on some boards that this is already happening, but I've heard nothing else to say it has. But LFC Ltd getting stadium finance, even in this climate, should not be a major problem.

There were rumours on other forums during the week that Phillip Nash is or has been in the States trying to raise finance for the stadium.

The upcoming meeting with the NWDA could prove interesting.
